Services - Medical Billing & Coding

Our approach to medical billing and coding enables us to optimize the way you run your business by improving collections, dramatically reducing A/R balances, and increasing visibility and control with our medical billing and consulting services.

Medical Billing Services:

At Advanced Consulting Associates, our billing process ensures your claims are submitted in a timely manner to maximize the reimbursements for your practice. Our billing cycle consists of the following four steps:

Enter claims as performed in the office, nursing home or hospital.
Transmit claims electronically with confirmations of receipt from the Insurance company within 24-48 hours of transmission.
Post all insurance and patient payments. All insurance and patient payments will be sent directly to your office. Upon receipt, your office will forward a copy of hte EOB (explanation of benefits) either by toll-free fax or mail. We will post to the appropriate accounts based on that EOB information received from your office.
Balance bill patients. We send out patient statements on a regular basis for any balances as specified on the insurance EOB. We send out these statements up to a total of four times. If after the third statement, there is no response from the patient, we contact the patient directly regarding the balance. If after the forth statement is sent and still no response, we would notify your office to find out how you would like to proceed.

Medical Coding Services:

Professional, expedient and precise coding is what Advanced Consulting Associates delivers.

Physician Training & Consulting. We offer external audits and education to ensure your documentation matches what you are billing before a third payor audit. We offer physician training in Medicare 95 and 97 documentation guidelines in either group sessions or one-on-one consulting.

Create a Customized Superbill. Advanced Consulting Associates will create a customized superbill for your practice. This tool provides accurate communications to the coding and billing staff. Superbills need to be updated annually to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Coding Services. Advanced Consulting Associates will ensure that your records are coded according to the most current compliance guidelines. Our coders are required to maintain continuing education to ensure correct coding.

Additional reports available upon your request including customized reports to meet your practice needs.
